Monday - The First REAL Day

Today, the boys began their merit badge classes and the regular schedule. Some of the boys got up especially early and began their Mile Swim or Run. The rest of us woke up at about 6:30, got ready and went to breakfast. Then all the boys were given their merit badge assignments and went off to their three classes before lunch. We had an emergency weather drill before a lunch of self-made sandwiches. Afterwards we got out afternoon assignments and took our final two classes. We all went out to the shotgun range and took two shots. Daniel has a new nickname: Shotgun. After taking his shots, the recoil hurt his shoulder quite a bit. The boys who hadn't already taken their swim tests took them while the rest of the boys spent their money in the front of camp. Afterwords, we went to Supper in the dining hall. We volunteered Mr. D-Ray volunteered us to clean up the dining hall after supper. After begrudgingly cleaning up and washing dishes, the boys were free to play and now they've calmed down and started going to bed.
